Across September 2016, ALH Chefs were encouraged to create a dish incorporating Nestle ingredients for the ALH Nestle Pub Challenge.

In its third year, the ALH Nestle Pub Challenge is a competition hosted by ALH Group and Nestle Professional designed to unleash creativity and challenge skills.

60 tastings were held across five states with five finalists asked to Melbourne for the final stage of the challenge.

Finalists were asked to create their dish using the secret protein, duck breast, two Nestle ingredients and items sourced in a time restricted trip to the South Melbourne Markets with 90 minutes cooking time.

The finalists presented each of their dishes to a panel of judges with Sally Cornish from Macquarie Inn and her 'Black Forest Duck' awarded ALH Nestle Pub Challenge Champion.

Sally won flights to Melbourne and the ultimate V.I.P. experience at Derby Day, a key date in Melbourne's Spring Racing Carnival
