30.01.2012: ALH Group wins International Gaming Award: Socially Responsible Operator of the Year
ALH are pleased to announce they were awarded the Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Land Based at the International Gaming Awards held in London last week.
Nominations for Socially Responsible Operator of the Year Land Based included Caesars Entertainment, MGM (USA) and Genting UK. Finalists included three time winner Holland Casino, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and Casinos Austria International.
The judging panel commented “ALH were head and shoulders above the rest as they continuously make every effort to emphasise socially responsible gaming across the land-based sector. Demonstrating commitment, ALH puts people at the heart of their company mission to great effect.”
ALH Group responsible gambling initiatives include our industry-leading hotel and gaming charter, responsible gambling staff DVD and pocket guide.
David Schwarz, ALH Group Responsible Gambling Ambassador said “As a reformed problem gambler I am proud of my involvement over the past four years with the ALH Group and in the development of the unique responsible gambling program they have put in place”.

19.12.2011: ALH Group acquires Hotels in New South Wales
ALH Group is pleased to announce that it has signed long term leases, as well as acquiring the businesses and associated assets of 31 hotels and 1 detached bottle shop in NSW, from interests involved with the Laundy, Waugh and De Angelis Groups.
ALH Group currently operates 27 hotels in New South Wales, and the acquisition of these hotel leases will complement our existing properties.
ALH Group Chief Executive Officer Bruce Mathieson Jnr said “ALH considers that these hotels have the capacity to achieve good trading growth, utilising our capacity to inject further capital into the business and our management expertise”
Completion of the acquisition will occur once all applicable regulatory conditions have been met.

28.11.2011: ALH Group completes settlement of Compass Hotel Group
ALH Group is pleased to announce that it has completed settlement today of the Compass Hotel Group. ALH Group currently operates 16 hotels in Western Australia, and the acquisition of the 12 Compass Hotels will complement our existing properties.
